Pursue His Presence: When You Move, God Moves (Bible Study)

 James 4:8

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.''

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and distance, James 4:8 is a gentle yet powerful invitation from God: Come closer. This verse assures us that intimacy with God is not only possible—it’s promised. If we make the move to draw near, He will always respond. The God of the universe leans in when we seek Him.

This is more than a command—it’s a call to relationship. To "draw near" means to come close in heart, mind, and spirit. It’s about intentional pursuit: praying, worshiping, listening, and spending time in His Word.
