1 John 2:6
"Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked."
The Christian journey is more than just belief—it’s a daily walk. In this verse, John draws a clear connection between abiding in Christ and imitating His life. To abide means to remain connected, rooted, and surrendered to Jesus—not just on Sunday or in quiet moments, but in every part of life.

When we say we belong to Christ, our lives should reflect it. This means walking in love, humility, obedience, and truth—just as Jesus did. He was compassionate to the broken, bold in righteousness, patient with the lost, and unwavering in purpose. To walk as He walked is to live a life of active faith, not perfection, but direction—a life consistently moving toward Him.
This verse challenges us to examine ourselves.
Are we truly abiding in Christ? Do our daily choices, our attitudes, and the way we treat others reflect the heart of Jesus? Walking like Christ isn't about religious performance—it's about relationship, transformation, and surrender. It’s a beautiful yet sobering reminder that if we say we follow Him, our lives should echo His footsteps.
